When asking the question which is better to buy a tower/workstation or a laptop the question used to come down to the size of your wallet. For a long time PC towers were simply cheaper than a laptop to buy. Normally half the price for the same specifications.
This is now no longer the case as the price of a laptop is now comparable to that of a tower. So now cost is no longer the main issue lets consider the advantages/disadvantages each type of system has.
In the case of the laptop the first most obvious advantage its portability. Whereas with a tower even most novices can learn how to plug a new graphics card, or replace a hard drive, increase the memory by inserting another card.
